INTRODUCTION TO YOGA
(P.E. 103)
AUKE BAY YOGA &
UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA SOUTHEAST
We’re incredibly excited to partner with University of Alaska Southeast to offer Introduction to Yoga (P.E. 103)- a semester long course and deep dive that explores yoga as so much more than just simply putting our body in various shapes.
Together, adjunct professors Lindsey Bloom and Kassie Haywood will explore a deeper dive into breathwork, mindfulness, movement, modern applications, and yoga philosophy. More importantly, we’ll explore how yoga becomes something you don’t just do for an hour but instead the lens in which you see the world.
Whether you’re brand new to yoga or you’ve been practicing for years, this course will give you the time and space to slow down, ask questions, and build a deeper understanding of the practice.
You don’t need to be a UAS student to enroll. Community members are welcome, and all experience levels are encouraged to join. We meet Wednesdays at the ABY studio 1:45pm-3:15pm.
