For over ten years, Katie has dedicated herself to studying and practicing various styles of yoga, primarily Hatha. Currently, she is immersed in the Forrest Yoga lineage and incorporates influences from Kundalini and Hatha in her teachings. She recently completed a 100-hour advanced Forrest Yoga teacher training with Leslie Pearlman.

Katie finds immense joy in tapping into the playful energy that yoga uncovers, as well as the profound sense of self-connection that a practice offers. For her, it is all about discovering movements that resonate most and fostering a deep connection with oneself through the practice. She hopes students in her class find strength, levity, and a sense of self-appreciation. Grateful for her teachers, she is just beginning her teaching journey.

Outside yoga, Katie embraces the leisure athlete lifestyle in Juneau with her partner and two dogs.
